The same day on 60 minutes when Steve Kroft says, Earlier today were careful not to label this as terrorism, the president replies, "Right." The thrust of the President's message on the first day and many days thereafter was to connect the Benghazi attack to the video, which we know was a total fantasy. His use of "terror" can only be considered in the most general sense. You have to look at the preponderance of evidence.

The President is the Executive in charge and yes, it is fault/responsibility when Americans in his employee/service are killed in the performance of their duties. If this had happened under President GW Bush, you and the mainstream media would be screaming your heads off that there was a 'Watergate" coverup. Do not even try to deny this!

I live in The Unided states of America, like you, I assume. The reason I think partisanship is President Obama's fault in this case,is because he promised to bring everyone together and work together and be united. If you dimply look at the facts, this President simply does not have the job skills necessary to work within out Representitive Republic type of government. The person in the leadership role (President) must lead the Congress. Except for when both the House and the Senate were Democratic, we have been in gridlock. This is when a strong leader should really be able to show his stuff. He should work with both houses and get things going. I hold any President to this standard. It is leadership 101.
I have not seen any lies from Mitt Romney. His history says he is a hard working family man. He has proven leaderhip skills, both as a business man and as a Governor. He actively sought women to staff his cabinet in Massachusets. He successfully governed in a Democrat ruled state legislature. He is a Mormon and I am a WELS Lutheran. Speaking of religeon, You really think President Obama sat in the pews of Reverand Right's church for 20 years and never heard the anti American ranting that went on there? If you do believe that, what does it say about a man (President Obama) who threw said pastor under the bus in the 2008 election? I truly expect my President to have more loyalty than that. I am a fairminded American. I try to look at political things with a grain of salt. I watch FOX News because from my experience overall, they really do give a 'Fair and Balanced' look at things. Another thing they do is encourage viewers to not take FOX's word for anything but to go and search for the facts online for yourself. Some of the hosts are too soft on issues and some go way to focussed on other issues. You have a spectrum of views that are more in the middle of the American viewpoint spectrum. If you are far Right, FOX is not tough enough and if you are far Left, FOX is too soft. Americans need to gather information from multiple sources to fill their knowledge 'basket'. I personally have always been a 'values voter'. I also RESPECT the office of President. I have always given the man occupying the office my resepect first, from day one, whether I voted for him or not. He has my respect until his actions reduce it. I have voted in every presidential election since 1976. I wanted Carter to be so successful because he ran on the 'born again Christian' theme and that did not work out well for me/mine (Chemical/oil workers 21% interest!!). I was more satisfied with Reagan than anyone. George Bush '41 not as much as Reagan. Clinton . . . .character matters - blue dress and 'the meaning of is' etc). George W. Bush '43 was the right man in our time of need and I have the VERY highest respect for him and the job he did for our country. That said, through all these Presidents, President Obama is the only one that has disapointed me so greatly. He ran on 'Hope' being President of 'the UNITED States' Ha!! He is sorely lacking in leadership skills. Under his watch DC is more divided than ever. Gridlock is diffused by executive leadership. I could go on and on but I am frustrated that he wants everything his way or the highway. Thank you for your time.

In The Rose Garden, on 9/12/2012, President Obama did not mention Benghazi until the end of his first paragraph. Exactly 4.2 minutes into this 5.3 minute speech, he said "No acts of terror will ever shake the resolve of this great nation, alter that character, or eclipse the light of the values that we stand for." I do not argue that he said just this. What he did not say, nor was the speech about, any specific ‘act of terrorism’.

In the days that followed this speech, the Obama White House had UN Ambassador Rice as well as White House Spokesperson Carney say on multiple occasions that the violence was the result of the ‘video’. He himself (President Obama) mentioned the video six times in his United Nations speech and not once at the UN did he say Benghazi was an ‘act of terrorism’. It is clear that President Obama wanted the American people to think that this
attack on American soil, and the resulting deaths of these four Americans was not something we needed to worry about. After all, it was only spontaneous violence in response to a video.

President Obama has been lauded as a great orator and communicator. In this case,
however, he has failed to communicate something that is basic to his job description. Let me close with an example of what could have been said . . . but wasn’t.

"Good evening. Today, our fellow citizens, our way of life, our very freedom came under attack in a series of deliberate and deadly TERROROST ACTS (emphasis mine)".

Yes, you can blame this on President George H. W. Bush 9/11/2001.

It sounds amusingly similar to defending "I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky." Can't wait 'til Saturday Night Live does a skit on saying the words "terrorist attack" while simultaneously trying to sell the lie for the next two weeks that it wasn't a terrorist attack but a protest that got out of control. The CIA operatives had laser designating capabilities and were in visual range of the mortar crews which means that if one AC-130 got on station it would be all over in about 10 minutes.

It is inexcusable how this was handled, and subsequently covered up.

It shows the true colors of Obama and his cronies who care more about the elections and keeping up their lies of defeated Al Quaeda.

In essence Obama thinks he can fight a war with the police/FBI and the U.S. criminal justice system. That is like saying we should just arrest Hitler. MR. President we are at war! Justice? Act of terror? Obama sent in the FBI to arrest protesters because he was acting in his own political self interest. This is a war that requires a military action and a leader who is competent. Obama is covering up his own incompetence to send in the military to protect our people and our sovereignty. This cover up makes water gate look like a minor gaff in comparison. This President's biggest broken promise was the promise of transparency. Fast n Furious, Benghazi, The content of the healthcare bill, his back door negotiations with Putin, his leaking of Seal team 6 and other military activities which have lead to the death of our military personal... all reflect on the poor leadership and poor character of this President!

The State Department and the Whitehouse sat in the situation room and watched the attack in realtime from the unarmed drone taking video of the Benghazi embassy compound and KNEW there was no demonstration, no outraged mob because of some bogus video, they KNEW it was a terrorist attack on the anniversary of 9-11 and when they received e-mails within an hour saying the American personnel were under attack and calling for back-up and help, the administration cowards told them "Stand Down" knowing it was certain death for Americans on the ground! Not to rescue American security and embassy personnel because, heaven forfend, the "Commander in Chief" or his minions might jeopardize his Coolness' re-election by having a failed rescue mess or an admission of active Al Quaeda terrorism. What happened to "No Man Left Behind"?? What happened to leadership, honor, loyalty, duty? Who exactly was in that room? Who issued the order to stand down?

Why the spin? On 911 Obama was bragging about taking out Osama and saying he has decimated Osama forces. Extremists used 911 to demonstrate they are still viable and killed the Ambassador. Obama knew this would look bad bragging the same day the terrorists kill the Ambassador so they spun it to sound like it wasn't terrorists and just a protest that went nuts. It's politics and they are now getting caught. Just like Bush trying to downplay the 911 commission. Scumbag politicians spinning the truth to fit their needs.
